- Affirming is the baselineEvery therapist is LGBTQ+ affirming. That's where we start, not where we stop.✦

Why fit matters
“Affirming” is the starting line, not the finish.
Research consistently shows the relationship between you and your therapist predicts outcomes more than any single technique. So that's what we match on.
- Communication style
- Direct and honest, or a gentler space. Mismatched styles quietly erode trust.
- Lived experience
- Trans-informed, bi and pan, poly, kink-aware, queer people of color, faith and sexuality.
- Approach
- CBT, somatic work, EMDR or IFS, matched to how you process, not just what you're working on.
- Warmth and tone
- Nurturing, or structured and challenging. Both are valid, and both are findable.

Questions
Good to know.
Are all therapists LGBTQ+ affirming?+
Yes. Every therapist we work with is affirming. We then match on the specifics (lived experience, style and approach) so you're not just safe, but well matched.
Can I ask for a therapist who shares my identity?+
Yes. You can tell us what matters to you, for example a trans or non-binary therapist, a queer person of color, or someone with experience in faith and sexuality, and we weight it in your match.
Is my information private?+
Your answers are used only to match you with a therapist and are never shared or sold. Licensed therapists are bound by confidentiality laws, with narrow exceptions for safety.
What does it cost?+
Matching is free. Session fees depend on your therapist; many accept insurance and some offer sliding-scale rates. You'll see costs before you book.
What if the match isn't right?+
Tell us. We'll use what you share to find someone better suited, without you having to start your story from scratch.
